Amazing Cellulite Reduction Results Achieved For Patients….
PRESS RELEASE: Cellulaze™ Confirmed as Most Effective Cellulite Treatment
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 14, 2012
New York, New York – Cellulite, that lumpy, cottage-cheese like skin, is not a new phenomenon as anyone can see when looking at Renaissance paintings. The female nudes were always well endowed and plump, signs of living the good life at that time. In many of these paintings cellulite dimples are apparent. It’s only in the past few decades that women have become driven to find an effective cellulite treatment. Creams, diets, massages, beaters, oils and a variety of “cures” have been touted, but nothing has been completely effective until the introduction of Cellulaze™, a high-tech solution to this age-old issue.
Cellulaze™ is the first FDA approved minimally-invasive cellulite removal treatment, and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Prior to its introduction in the US, this technology was used widely throughout the European Union and Canada. To gain FDA approval, US doctors performed and monitored hundreds of procedures to prove that the treatment was both safe and effective. “Physicians found that this procedure was not only safer than previous methods, but two years later the cellulite had not returned,” reports Dr. Theodore Diktaban, considered by many as a best plastic surgeon in New York.
In the past many people believed cellulite was caused by weight gain or a poor diet. While a proper diet is an important factor in skin health and excess weight does make cellulite more visible, neither of these cause cellulite. “The reason diet and external treatments don’t work is because cellulite is a structural problem,” explains Dr. Diktaban. “The problem begins when the connective cords between the fat cells under the skin constrict and tighten, pulling the skin down which results in a dimpled surface.” While cellulite can appear on young women the problem increases with time as skin becomes thinner and loses elasticity.
Cellulaze™ is the first treatment to address all of the structural issues. A fiber optic laser is inserted through a tube into the affected area. The laser severs the tight connective cords, releasing the pressure on the surface skin. Heat from the laser melts some of the fat tissue which is then pressed out. Finally, the laser is focused on the bottom of the outer layer of skin, a tactic proven to stimulate natural collagen production resulting in thicker, more elastic skin. Only one treatment is necessary, and the improvement continues over several months. Measurements taken one year later show a 25% improvement in skin thickness and a 30% improvement in elasticity.

NYC Plastic Surgeon Answers FAQs about Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, also known as a nose job, is a surgical procedure which repairs or reshapes the internal or external structure of the nose.
Who is a good candidate for a nose job?
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommends that nose reshaping not be done until facial growth is completed. For many people, especially males, this does not occur until about 16 years of age. Candidates must also be in good health.
What is the ideal nose shape?
There is no such thing as one ideal nose. When consulting with potential patients, Dr. Theodore Diktaban, an expert plastic surgeon in NY, will discuss their goals and perform a complete facial and nasal analysis. He will also take into consideration ethnicity, facial structure and the shape and structure of the pre-surgical nose. With this information he can use computer imaging to help you determine the alterations to be made.
There are occasions when a chin implant may be warranted to add definition and proportion to a person’s face. This is a surgery that can be completed at the same time as the rhinoplasty.
Will this correct a deviated septum?
The nasal septum is the dividing wall which separates the two nostrils. When this becomes displaced it is referred to as a deviated septum. While childbirth injuries and some congenital disorders can result in this disorder, the problem is usually caused by an impact injury with a broken nose. The deviation can become a significant health issue creating continual sinus infections, sleep apnea, snoring, sneezing, pain, breathing difficulties, nose bleeds and loss of smell.
If you have a deviated septum, this should definitely be repaired as part of the rhinoplasty surgery. Because the internal structure of the nose is much different than the external structure, it’s best to have the deviation repaired by someone trained as an ENT, or otolaryngologist. If you wish to avoid coordinating with two surgeons for the procedure look for an expert plastic surgeon in NY like Dr. Diktaban who is board-certified in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology.
My nose is straight, but it’s too large. Can this be fixed?
Rhinoplasty can correct a broad range of cosmetic issues including making a nose narrower or wider, removing lumps, changing the shape of the tip and adjusting the nostril flair. You should discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. He will be able to show you a photo gallery of nose shapes and use a computer to let you see in advance how different adjustments will look on you.
How long will I need to keep the packing in my nose?
Packing of the nose is rarely if ever performed by Dr Diktaban. He incorporates painless dissolving sutures instead of using gauze packing that can be pretty uncomfortable to remove. This approach greatly increases patient comfort during recovery.
What is the expected recovery time?
Everyone heals at a different pace, so time away from work may vary. You will need to rest with your head up for a few days to reduce swelling. Jogging, swimming, team sports and strenuous activities should be avoided for several weeks to allow the bone to properly heal. Your doctor will give you specific recovery instructions which are tailored to your procedure.
Will insurance pay for this surgery?
Rhinoplasty is generally an elective surgery and is not covered by insurance plans, with the exception of deviated septum repair. If you have a deviated septum, the insurance company will usually pay for the repair portion of the procedure. This is something you should coordinate with the insurance company in advance.

Questions and Answers about Breast Augmentation in NYC
An increasing number of women are opting to enhance their natural beauty with plastic surgery, and breast augmentation is now the second most popular procedure with approximately 350,000 performed annually in the US. Here are answers to some of the questions frequently asked by women are considering cosmetic surgery to enhance the shape or size of their breasts.
What is the perfect breast size?
There is no “perfect” breast size. This is a very personal decision, and breast augmentation in NYC should be done to satisfy you, not anyone else. Be ready to discuss your desired size with your plastic surgeon and he will be able to use computer enhancement programs or other aids to help you see what you will look like after the surgery.
What implant options are available?
Implants currently available are either silicone or saline filled, though both come in a silicone shell. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes, and are available with either a smooth or textured surface. Empty saline implants are inserted through a small incision in the armpit, and then filled with sterile salt water. If a saline implant ruptures, you will know instantly because the breast will deflate in size. In this instance the water will leave the shell and be absorbed by the body. A ruptured saline implant does not pose a health risk since the saline solution is similar to the salt water found in the body.
Silicone implants are prefilled and require a slightly larger incision, though these can still be inserted in some patients. Incisions can also be made around the areola or in the fold under the breast where scarring is difficult to detect. Many women prefer silicone implants because they have more give than the saline implants which results in a more natural feel. A ruptured silicone implant can be more difficult to detect and generally requires the use of an MRI, but poses no health problem because the silicone remains within the shell and is not released into the body.
Can breast augmentation be accomplished with fat transplants?
Fat transfer is a new option used by selected plastic surgeons trained in this technology and is performed in conjunction with a liposuction procedure. Fat is harvested from areas you wish to slim down and is used as filler in the breasts, neck or any other area needing filler. A significant advantage of fat transfer is that a woman won’t reject her own body tissue. Dr. Theodore Diktaban is one of the few plastic surgeons who offer fat transfer breast augmentation in NYC.
Can breast augmentation correct sagging breasts?
If you are concerned about sagging breasts, then you should consider a breast lift. Saggy breasts can result from pregnancy, nursing, age, and weight gain or loss – things which can cause the skin to stretch. During a breast lift excess skin is removed and the breasts are repositioned and reshaped. A breast lift does not increase size; patients who want to both lift and enlarge their breasts can combine a lift with breast augmentation.
How much scarring will I experience?
The amount of visible scarring will depend upon the location of the incision and whether or not additional procedures are being performed at the same time. Regardless of the approach you and your doctor determine is best for you, incisions are strategically placed to hide any scars.
Can you breastfeed after having breast augmentation?
Breast surgery can reduce the amount of milk a woman is able to produce in the future. Because of this, women frequently wait until after having their children to have breast augmentation in NYC. However, having breast augmentation does not eliminate the possibility of nursing.
What is the expected recovery time?
Breast augmentation is generally performed as an outpatient procedure though you will need to have an adult stay with you for the first 24 hours as you recover from the anesthesia. The doctor will ask prescribe a support bra or garment, and your breasts may be tender for up to a month. You will be able to get up and walk around immediately, though it can take from 2 days to a week before you return to work, depending upon the extent of the procedure and the amount of physical activity involved in the job. Returning to a full exercise routine may take a couple of weeks and should be coordinated with your plastic surgeon.

Body Sculpting with a Buttock Lift
If you don’t care for the shape of your derriere, now there is something you can do about it without invasive surgery, a long rehabilitation period, worrisome scarring or other problems. With a buttock fat transfer you can decrease the size of your derriere, or give it a lift. You can re-shape your shape by using the fat harvested from your buttocks to fill out other areas where you need filling out. It’s like magic.
A Buttock Lift for a More Youthful Shape
A buttock augmentation is meant to correct defects of the buttocks or to increase or decrease their size and improve their contour. This can be accomplished with a buttock fat transfer. Even age or weight loss can cause you to lose your youthful shape. If you have problems with sagging or loose skin, a buttock lift can give you a better shape.
In the fat transfer procedure, fat is taken from an area where it isn’t needed or wanted by liposuction. It is then transferred or injected into the area where you need fullness or a lifting effect. Most patients prefer to use their own fat because their body will not reject it as a foreign substance the way it might reject implants.
Harvested fat is purified and processed to give it a smoother consistency and make injection more satisfactory. Unlike implants, fat transfers give your body a natural, smooth, soft shape and feel that is most like the real thing.
Liposuction has been improved and simplified in recent years so that the process is less invasive and painful and the recovery period is shorter.
Fat Transfer from the Buttocks
If your buttocks don’t need filling out, in fact quite the reverse, then you can have fat removed from there and use it to fill out other areas, such as the hands, the face and neck, the breasts, the thighs.
The hands can be the first parts of your body to show your age and can age you faster than your face. If the backs of your hands have become old-looking and could use some plumping up, you can have fat injected into them.
Fat from the buttocks can be used to fill out the hollows under the eyes, along the cheekbones or in the cheeks or to fill out the lines that develop from the mouth to the nose.
It can be used to lift the upper arms, thighs or breasts.
And at the same time, you’ll be getting a more attractive body shape.
Body sculpting with fat transfers is a woman’s dream come true. Specifically, it means the chance to remove fat from some areas of the body and move it to others that need filling out.
Fat transfers are used not only for cosmetic purposes, but to correct birth defects and injuries from accidents.
Choosing Your Plastic Surgeon
The most important part of any plastic surgery is choosing the right plastic surgeon.
Dr. Theodore Diktaban is a board certified plastic surgeon and otolaryngologist with 32 years experience. He is on the list of New York’s Best Plastic Surgeons in New York Magazine. He is an expert in facial surgery and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Diktaban is located in Manhattan, New York. He has spoken and lectured internationally at medical workshops and seminars as an expert on plastic surgery and body sculpting. He has also done surgery on patients from many parts of the world.
Dr. Diktaban handles the surgeries on all of his patients himself, he does not delegate. If you choose him, you can be sure he will be performing your operation.
Before your surgery is schedule Dr. Diktaban will meet with you to help you determine what results you hope for and what procedures you need to achieve those results.
Tests will be run on you to determine whether you are fit for surgery, such as an EKG and chest x-ray. Your family medical history will be taken. If you are taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications or blood thinners, you will be told to stop taking them ten days before surgery.
Patients who exercise regularly and have healthy eating habits will see the best results from fat transfers. Good skin and muscle tone is also important. Maintaining a healthy weight before and after surgery will improve results. If weight is gained after surgery, the fat cells remaining in the area that was treated will expand and may affect the good results gained with the surgery.
Surgeons will generally “over-correct” by injecting more fat cells than are needed in an area. At the beginning some cells will be lost and then the effect of the transfer will be what was desired.
Fat Injections: the Answer to Body Sculpting
Body sculpting through fat transfers or injections is a successful and minimally invasive procedure. With new technologies and procedures, and new knowledge about aging, this type of surgery can bring about results that will give you the body you have dreamed of.
Dr. Diktaban is a board-certified plastic surgeon and otolaryngologist with 32 years experience who performs liposuction and fat injections for body sculpting his patients’ physiques. Unlike some other surgeons, Dr. Diktaban performs his entire surgeries from start to finish. No one comes in to open or close for him. When you hire Dr. Diktaban, you can be assured he will perform your entire surgery. Dr. Diktaban is an experienced aesthetic and facial surgeon, listed in New York’s Best Plastic Surgeons in New York Magazine.
Dr. Diktaban is certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties, as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology. Becoming board certified means going through a demanding series of written and oral examinations. Dr. Diktaban has studied and performed face lifts, breast enhancements and ears, noses and throats as well as body sculpting. He has performed literally thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures. He has reconstructed the faces of those who have been injured in accidents and the breasts of those ravaged with cancer.
Prior to your surgery you will meet with the doctor and he will help you to decide what areas of your body need work and how much work is needed. Most patients prefer to use their own fat for the transfers.
The fat is harvested by liposuction, a procedure Dr. Diktaban performs regularly with state of the art technology. Small syringes are used to take fat from the hips, thighs, abdomen or lower back. Then it is purified before it is injected into the areas that need to be enhanced. Because it is purified, processed, condensed and fortified with platelet rich plasma, also harvested from the patient, it can be expected to survive and to maintain the surgery’s results.
Fat is usually harvested from the abdomen, where men and women store unwanted fat, then transferred to the areas that need to be improved.
Areas of the face that fat can be injected into are the folds along the sides of the nose and mouth, the hollows under the eyes, the cheeks and cheek hollows, the lines around the lips and the lips themselves. It can also be used to fill in pits from acne scarring. Fat is used for touch ups and face lifts.
Natural fat transfers give women, and men, a softer, younger and more energetic look. This is a far cry from the old procedures, before the aging process was really understood. At that time the skin was stretched tight to give a “more youthful appearance.” This tended to give the face a smooth, masklike look.
The new technology used to remove, purify and inject fat is much less invasive than former methods. Because the fat gives fullness to the area it is injected into, it gives a general lifting appearance to the face and to the buttocks or whatever area it is injected into.
Body sculpting procedures include breast augmentations, reductions, lifts, arm lifts, thigh lifts, tummy tucks and “mommy makeovers.”
When the dermis, the layer under your outer skin or epidermis, thins out with age, your skin starts to look saggy. When the fat is injected, the skin is once again filled out. Wrinkles are smoothed out, too.
The hands are another area that can benefit from injections. Hands will give away age faster than the face. Fat injections pump up the backs of the hands, giving them a more youthful appearance, and are far more successful than chemical peels or laser treatments.
Various substances have been used as “fillers” to help produce a younger appearance, but the advantage of using your own fat is that more of it can be used and it can correct more or greater defects.
Fat injections can be done under local or general anesthetic or sedation, depending on the areas that are being treated. Fat injections to the face can be done under local anesthesia.
Although most people think of fat transfers as cosmetic procedures, they can also be used to correct birth defects or injuries caused by accidents.
Patients on aspirin, blood thinners or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications should discontinue their use 10 days before surgery. Prior to surgery patients’ medical history is collected and they are given a series of lab tests and any other tests needed, such as a chest x-ray or EKG.
Body Sculpting Through Fat Injection
Dr. Diktaban, a Manhattan, New York plastic surgeon, can help you re-shape your body into the body you’ve dreamed of, with fat injections. Dr. Diktaban is a board-certified plastic surgeon with 32 years experience. He is also a board-certified otolaryngologist, an expert in general aesthetic surgery and facial surgery. Dr. Diktaban is listed in New York’s Best Plastic Surgeons in New York Magazine.
Through body sculpting with fat injections using fat from your own body, Dr. Diktaban can help you to achieve the physique you’ve always wished for. Fat can be harvested by liposuction from areas where it is not wanted or needed, into areas where it is needed to fill out wrinkled or sagging areas.
Thanks to modern day technology, these procedures are less invasive than they were formerly and the fat harvested possesses a finer consistency, making placement more successful. Many patients choose to have their own fat used to contour areas that need enhancement.
The fat is removed through liposuction, a procedure Dr. Diktaban performs on a regular basis with his state of the art technology. Liposuction, part of the body sculpting process, can help to improve the contours and firmness of your legs, arms and abdomen. This is where most excess fat is stored, in men as well as women.
You will have a consultation with Dr. Diktaban before your surgery. During your consultation Dr. Diktaban will help you to decide what body sculpting procedures you need and how much you need to attain your objective.
Fat injections, also called fat transfers, take advantage of the excess fat in your stomach. The fat is harvested from there and other areas and injected into your face, lips, back of hands and buttocks. Because of the fullness created by the injected fat, the face or buttocks get a general lifting effect.
When the dermis, the layer under your outer skin or epidermis, thins out with age, your skin starts to look saggy. When the fat is injected, the skin is once again filled out. Wrinkles are smoothed out, too. And your blood circulation is improved when the purified fat is injected into your face. The fat contains stem cells, and that is what is being injected into your face.
When you’re sculpting your face, you may want to consider injections to your lips, cheeks and chin, as well as the bags under your eyes. Fat injections can fill in the wrinkles around your mouth as well.
At one time, body sculpting in the area of the face consisted of stretching the skin to make it look tighter. Now that the process of aging is better understood, we know that adding volume to certain areas makes patients look younger. Fat injections are also used for touch ups and as part of face lift surgery.
Unlike some of the older methods, fat injections do last in the largest percentage of cases. When done correctly, the fat cells survive permanently. Surgeons will over-correct or inject more fat cells than are actually needed, as some will be lost in the beginning and after some weeks the effect of the fat transfer will not be as dramatic. After those few weeks the results will be those that the patient desired.
Body sculpting fat injections can also be made to lift and fill out the buttocks. Fat will be taken from the stomach or flanks and then processed. The processing procedure is like decanting: it purifies the fat. Then the fat is injected into the buttocks. The resulting look of a buttocks augmentation is very natural.
Since hands generally age fast, they are another area that can benefit from fat injections. Fat injected into the backs of the hands gives them a fuller, firmer, more youthful look. This procedure is more successful in making the hands look young than chemical peels or laser treatments.
Another advantage of body sculpting with fat injections is that, unlike other fillers, fat can be used in larger volumes and therefore can correct worse defects.
Facial fat injection surgery can actually be done under local anesthesia. Surgeons use small syringes to harvest fat from hips, thighs, lower back or abdomen. After it is processed, it is injected into the desired area.
Body sculpting with fat transfers is not only for the purpose of cosmetic enhancement. It can also be used to correct birth defects or conditions caused by accidents.
Depending on the areas that will be involved, fat injections can be done under local or general anesthetic or sedation. If you are on blood thinners, aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, you should stop taking them 10 days before your surgery.
Nose News: Rhinoplasty with Ground Cartilage?
Did you know that it’s possible to get a rhinoplasty in New York (nose job) without surgery? It’s true. Depending on the problem you have, certain nose shapes can be remodeled with dermal fillers. New York, New Jersey and Connecticut men and women come to me all the time for rhinoplasty, and most of them do require a surgical solution. However, with dermal fillers, some reshaping can be done, particularly for those people with a hump or need for a better looking nasal tip.
Like all New York plastic surgeons, I’m always looking for a more permanent filler, both for wrinkles and for nose reshaping—the holy grail of fillers, you might say. Currently, researchers are experimenting with finely ground cartilage. Cartilage is the firm but flexible connective tissue that’s found all through your body, including your nose and ears. There’s no risk of rejection, since it’s your own. It won’t absorb like fillers so it can produce permanent results. It’s not available yet, but it’s the future. Until then, however, if your nose concerns you, come in and see what I can do for you. Noses are something of a specialty of mine, since I have a board certification both in plastic surgery and in otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat).
What’s that saying? If your nose is unbecoming to you, you should be coming to me!
To your health & beauty,
